    Thank you for the feedback, I have modified the plan accordingly, the meet will be on the 4th July, I’ll keep you guys posted.

    I do incorporate drills to improve my stroke mechanics, being a new to swimming, I have way too much room for improvement 🙂

    I workout 3 to 4 times a week with 2 times gym weight lifting.

    200 warmup
    10 BK start with underwater
    8×25 BK 20 sec rest 50 pace
    200 drills
    10×25 Free 15 sec rest 100 pace
    200 kick
    8×25 BK 20 sec rest 50 pace
    200 swim easy
    4×50 BK full 50m all out, rest as needed in between
    200 warm down

    So I will be swimming only the 50 back, below is my current workout draft, any thoughts on improvements or changes are welcome, thanks in advance

    300 warmup
    10 BK start with underwater
    10×25 BK 15 sec rest
    300 drills
    10×25 BK 15 sec rest
    200 kick
    10×25 BK 15 sec rest
    200 swim easy

    I will be relying on wall clock with no coach supervision.

    Thank you for the reply, couple of questions comes to mind

    What do you mean by Timing would be to 1/10 of second

    Is failure defined by not swimming the rep at the desired time

    Next week, I am hoping I can get my ticket to summer nationals in July for the 50 free and 50 breast as well, if I do then it will be for 50 in back, free, breast stroke.

    As to This year, I have been doing a lot of 100/ 200 IM work.
