    Interesting that Katie Ledecky and her coach said in an interview recently that all she does is race pace 50s and 100s. And someone asked her what she does for repeat 800s and she said she never does them. While not true USRPT (because her coach said they are short rest and long rest) it confirms that this is not just for sprinters as some people (who haven’t read all the literature) have said.

    The key is race pace. You do that…you are training specifically.

    I'm proud of what we've done, but I know 5, 10, 20 years from now I'll wonder what we'd done had we done it 'right'
